A practical conference “Digital Transformation of Reality: Problems and Solutions” was held at the University of Journalism and Mass Communications on the occasion of Safer Internet Day.

The participants discussed the disorderly appearance of the modern information space, digital media transformation, ways to combat disinformation in the modern media space, as well as methods of preparing high-quality content on the Internet, for example, storytelling, longread.

The conference aims at teaching the students the new methods of protection against media manipulation, the influence of fakes in a rapidly changing digital space, as well as technological and psychological foundations of disinformation, misinformation and malinformation. It was attended by university teachers and students, journalists, bloggers. Analytical examples of the influence of false information disseminated in social networks on the human psyche and how a journalist should behave in such a situation were given.

It is known that the most advanced form of today’s journalism is online journalism. Aspiring journalists must know how to use resources correctly.
