Development of professional training opportunities in Uzbekistan

The Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations of Uzbekistan jointly with Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) in Tashkent, Samarkand and Shakhrisabz established activities of professional training centers for unemployed people within the framework of “Development of professional training opportunities in Uzbekistan” project.

The Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations of Uzbekistan jointly with Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) in Tashkent, Samarkand and Shakhrisabz established activities of professional training centers for unemployed people within the framework of “Development of professional training opportunities in Uzbekistan” project.

In these professional training centers, students can also improve their skills of independent work with modern technologies together with obtaining theoretical knowledge in the chosen specialty.

Currently, 227 unemployed people and graduates of education institutions are deeply mastering metal processing, studying electronics and energy, computer, sewing and spinning technologies. 480 skilled professionals graduate from the center annually.

All conditions are created for deep mastering of profession, acquisition of theoretical and practical skills, for accommodation during the training period. A hostel for 50 people and library with a rich book fund are at students’ disposal. The state provides students with unemployment benefits in the amount of one minimum wage.
