Agriculture is important in improving the well-being of people, ensuring food security and employment of the population, and achieving sustainable development.

A practical workshop organized in Pap district of Namangan region was devoted to this issue. The participants discussed measures to increase the volume of agricultural production, the effective organization of the spring sowing season.

It was noted that this year 316 farms in the district will grow cotton on 9,915 hectares and wheat on 10,277 hectares. In addition, it is planned to plant soybeans on 1,579 hectares, pumpkin on 5 hectares, and grapes on 4 hectares. Work on the planned tasks has already begun.

At the event, the Hokim of Pap district, Azamjon Sultanov, noted that the heads of farms and responsible persons should approach their work with special care.
