As part of the roundtable discussion “Promoting sustainable development in Central Asia”, a press approach was held with the participation of the head and responsible representatives of the EDB.
Sessions on “Irrigation and water resources in Central Asia”, “Environmental and social standards of IFIs”, and “Practical examples of cooperation between MOs and IFIs in the implementation of projects in Central Asia” were also held.
The Eurasian Development Bank is an international financial organization aimed at developing economies, trade and economic relations, and integration processes in Eurasia. Support is provided by financing investment projects that improve the quality of life and the development of business and the financial environment. The EDB was established in 2006.
In 2020, the EDB Fund for Digital Initiatives was established. The goal of its activities is to support EDB member states in the process of digital transformation. The Fund promotes the implementation of digital projects in healthcare, trade, public administration, culture, tourism, sports, education, ecology, energy, environmental protection, data protection, transport, logistics, industry, agriculture, labor market and migration, financial technology, and smart cities.
Projects in transport infrastructure, digital systems, green energy, agriculture, industry, and mechanical engineering occupy the leading share in the EDB’s portfolio.
