Today, Uzbekistan is pursuing an exemplary policy and is striving to actively and constructively develop ties with the Federal Republic of Germany and other European countries.
The Head of state has initiated reforms encouraging partners to strengthen their relations. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev can be congratulated on such a great success.
Last year, a global exhibition dedicated to the archaeological finds of Uzbekistan was held in Berlin with the participation of the country’s Leader and the President of Germany, Frank-Walter Steinmeier. The Germany – Uzbekistan Forum was held at Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s suggestion as part of this event. Thus, another decisive step has been taken to strengthen relations between the two countries.
Today, the scale of our cooperation covers various essential areas – from creating jobs for Uzbek specialists to attracting German investment in Uzbekistan. In this process, economic cooperation is gaining priority.
Berlin and Tashkent have been close partners for many years, and both sides intend to intensify existing ties. In October this year, senators from Berlin were sent to Tashkent to extend the agreements and identify and develop new areas of cooperation.
I am confident that, due to the wise policy of the Head of state, Uzbekistan, which is gaining real leadership in the region, will soon join the ranks of developed and prosperous countries.
I positively assess the ongoing reforms in the parliamentary electoral system. The necessary opportunities are being created for the active participation of all social groups in the elections at the end of October.
In recent years, we have seen your country’s development on a democratic basis, and this is a sure sign that reforms impact all levels of society. I am confident that this process will continue to improve, contributing to enhancing collaboration between Uzbekistan and Germany.
Taking this opportunity, I once again congratulate the Uzbekistan people on the 33rd anniversary of independence.
Detlef Prinz,
President of the Germany – Uzbekistan Forum.
