A 78-year-old skilled worker from Fergana Gulomjon Fathuddinov lives in “Yangiabad” mahalla in Quvasay city. The elder, who truly enjoys his work, grows lemons in a 2-acre greenhouse on his plot.

Lemons shimmering with gold are a delight to the eye. Family members and neighbors help the gardener in preparing them for sale. Thanks to this, the family budget receives additional profit for about 15 million UZS.

According to the assistant hokim, more than 3,100 people live in the mahalla, which specializes in growing lemons and strawberries. 215 out of the 729 courtyards have greenhouses.
