Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan meets with the Prime Minister of Japan

Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov met with the Prime Minister of Japan Fumio Kishida.

The parties discussed the current state of multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and Japan, the implementation of joint initiatives and issues of strengthening bilateral relations in the long term.

According to the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan, a high assessment was given to the dynamics of development of bilateral trade, economic and investment cooperation, as well as the steadily growing interest of Japanese companies in doing business in Uzbekistan.

The parties briefly dwelled on major projects implemented in Uzbekistan with the involvement of Japanese corporations and financial organizations, noting their scale and significance for the socio-economic development of Uzbekistan.

Further directions for developing partnerships were outlined to promote already agreed projects and initiatives, as well as further exchange of views on enhancing mutually beneficial cooperation.
