Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov has met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Péter Szijjártó, in Tashkent.
According to Uzbekistan MIFT, the parties discussed issues of political, investment, trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian and interregional cooperation, as well as interaction in socio-economic reforms.
Significant progress was noted within the framework of cooperation in agriculture and broad prospects for its expansion, taking into account the attraction of new Hungarian companies to conduct investment activities in Uzbekistan, as well as joint scientific research in this area.
The Ministers also discussed issues of joint development of new project proposals for industrial cooperation and the search for partners for their implementation.
Discussing the development of mutual trade, the parties reached an agreement on the implementation of joint practical measures to ensure the effective functioning of Uzbekistan – Hungary Trade House in Budapest, as well as the organization of joint exhibitions of industrial goods and mutual trade missions.
