The Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan Aziz Abdukhakimov met with members of the European Parliament, in Brussels.

The parties discussed the current state and prospects for further development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the European Union.

The parliamentarians highly appreciated the level of European – Uzbekistan relations, which have recently expanded significantly and acquired a multifaceted character. The significant progress achieved in the country in human rights, democracy and the rule of law was noted.

The parties reached an agreement to undertake joint efforts to intensify bilateral cooperation with the EU and its member states in tourism, ecology, education, youth exchanges and others.
