Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan meets with AIIB President
Virtual talks have been held between the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov and President of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) Jin Liqun.
The parties discussed the current state of joint projects, as well as the prospects for enhancing mutually beneficial partnership.
During the talks, special attention was paid to the implementation of the project for the construction of the Mazar-i-Sharif – Kabul – Peshawar trans-Afghan railway.
The parties also discussed issues related to the implementation of the current and ongoing projects worth more than $930 million.
An agreement was reached to intensify the joint study of new promising projects in infrastructure construction, healthcare, support for the private sector and other areas worth $2.1 billion.
