Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov met with the Minister of Economic Development of Russia Maksim Reshetnikov.

According to Uzbekistan MIFT, the parties discussed issues of promoting bilateral cooperation in trade, investment and industry, as well as the implementation of the agreements reached during the last meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation, held in December last year in Moscow.

Further steps to increase the trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Russia were considered.

An agreement was reached to intensify the activities of Uzbekistan – Russia Business Council and create an Information and Analytical Platform for communication between Uzbekistan and Russian entrepreneurs and trading operations.

Following the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to provide further practical assistance to the promotion of joint projects and initiatives, as well as the development of new areas of mutually beneficial cooperation.
