Delegation of “Uztuqimachiliksanoat” (Uzbekistan textile industry) Association and representatives of textile, sewing and knitting enterprises visited the Republic of Belarus to hold bilateral meetings and negotiations on issues of expanding the export of textile products.

On May 27-30, the delegation of “Uztuqimachiliksanoat” (Uzbekistan textile industry) Association and representatives of textile, sewing and knitting enterprises visited the Republic of Belarus to hold bilateral meetings and negotiations on issues of expanding the export of textile products.

The delegation of the Association held negotiations with Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Mikhail Rusyi.

According to the Association, during the negotiations, the sides discussed issues of further development of bilateral relations between the countries in textile industry, proposals on creation of Belarusian and joint enterprises in the territory of Uzbekistan.

Representatives of Uzbekistan’s delegation held a presentation on the ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan, in particular in the textile industry. New opportunities provided to investors wishing to develop their business on the territory of the country, advantages in using labor, natural and intellectual resources were described in detail.

In turn, the Belarusian side noted that the dynamic reforms in Uzbekistan are opening new opportunities for deepening mutually beneficial cooperation, including in textile sector.

The sides expressed interest and constructive proposals on further expansion of cooperation in textile industry.
