Deputy FM takes part in the webinar “Uzbekistan – India: Opening new horizons of strategic partnership”

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Furkat Sidikov has taken part in a roundtable discussion on “Uzbekistan – India: Opening new horizons of strategic partnership”, via videoconference.

According to Uzbekistan MFA, the event was organized by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in India and the International Vivekananda Foundation.

The Deputy Foreign Minister informed the participants of the event about the modern development of Uzbekistan, the large-scale reforms carried out under the leadership of the President, as well as the current state and prospects for the development of multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and India.

VIF Director Arvind Gupta praised Uzbekistan’s initiatives to develop mutually beneficial cooperation between Uzbekistan and India.

The parties highly appreciated the results of the International Conference “Central and South Asia: Regional Connectivity. Challenges and Opportunities”, which took place on July 15-16 in Tashkent.

Proposals for the development of interaction between the scientific and analytical centers of the two countries were considered.
