On August 24, 2021, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Furkat Sidikov met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China Jiang Yan, Uzbekistan MFA reports.

The parties discussed current issues of Uzbekistan – China cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

Views were exchanged on the situation in the region, including Afghanistan.

They expressed mutual interest in further enhancing collaboration in healthcare, in particular by increasing the volume of vaccines against coronavirus infection and exchanging specialists.
