Deputies of the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis (parliament) of the Republic of Uzbekistan are holding direct dialogue with people in order to learn about the socio-economic situation in localities and people’s living conditions, to identify and deal with existing problems in localities and to conduct parliamentary monitoring there effectively.

On 1-10 June this year, members of the faction of the Milliy Tiklanish democratic party of Uzbekistan in the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis studied the situation in Baliqchi, Qorakol, Zafarobod, Konimeh, Pop, Qoshrabot, Mirzaobod, Sherobod, Oqqorghon, Rishton, Boghot, Dehqonobod, Shayhontohur and Tortkol Districts.

The party faction held a gathering in the Legislative Chamber to discuss results of this study. An analysis of the dialogue with people there shows that most of the problems found there relate to such spheres as health, education, employment and labour relations, utilities, banking-credit, transport and road construction.

Member of the faction adopted a decision to send 15 parliamentary queries and 8 appeals to bodies of state administration and management and 23 economic entities on 34 problematic issues.

In order to improve the provision of transport services for the population, especially privileged transport services for students, the faction decided to send a parliamentary query to the automobile and river transport agency of Uzbekistan.

A parliamentary query was put together to be sent to the Ministry of Public Education of Uzbekistan on such issues as the provision of pre-school day care, the renovation of kindergartens, the provision of books for libraries at pre-school day care establishments and schools.

At the gathering, members of the faction gave proper recommendations to party groups in local councils that they should study the real situation in localities regarding small industrial zones created in sites of state property and areas of land not in use at the moment and on work carried out there to ensure the construction of the necessary infrastructure and engineering structures.
