Delhi hosted the 8th meeting of Uzbekistan – India joint working group on combating terrorism.

Participants of the meeting discussed measures on strengthening bilateral cooperation in counter-terrorism through exchange of information and best practices.
According to Uzbekistan MFA, the parties also exchanged views on effective methods of combating radicalization and preventing the use of Internet for terrorist purposes.
Cooperation in multilateral formats, including the UN, the SCO Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure and the Eurasian Group on Combating Money Laundering and Financing of Terrorism was discussed at the meeting.
Following the meeting, it was decided to hold the next meeting in Uzbekistan.
