The delegation led by the Foreign Minister of Oman Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamood Albusaidi arrived in Samarkand.

The delegation was warmly welcomed by the regional Hokim Erkinjon Turdimov and other officials at Samarkand International Airport.

First, the Foreign Minister of Oman visited the complex of the great hadith scholar Imam Bukhari and highly appreciated the construction and landscaping activities.

The guests got acquainted with the activities of the Imam Bukhari International Research Center. They were informed about the work being done here to study the heritage of great hadith scholars.

Members of the delegation inspected with reverence the majestic madrassas on Registan Square, the national handicrafts and examples of calligraphy art presented here.

“Our first trip to Samarkand is full of impressions”, says the Foreign Minister of Oman Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamood Albusaidi. “In particular, visiting the mausoleum of the great hadith scholar Imam Bukhari is a great honor for us. Undoubtedly, this complex will soon become the most sacred and visited site in the Islamic world”.
