Delegation of the Russian Federation visits Samarkand
Delegation of Russia led by Co-Chairman of Uzbekistan – Russia Intergovernmental Commission for Economic Cooperation, the Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Maxim Oreshkin arrived in Samarkand.
On March 8, delegation of Russia led by Co-Chairman of Uzbekistan – Russia Intergovernmental Commission for Economic Cooperation, the Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Maxim Oreshkin arrived in Samarkand.
Khokim of the region E.Turdimov met the guests at Samarkand Railway Station.
Delegation members visited the Amir Temur mausoleum. The guests were informed about the state policy, military campaigns of Amir Temur, as well as his contributions to the development of education, science and culture.
The world-famous Registan Square, the Khoja Doniyor complex and other historical monuments made a great impression on guests.
Maxim Oreshkin noted that Samarkand is one of the ancient and most beautiful cities in the world. He highly appreciated the activities carried out on preservation of historical and cultural heritage of ancestors and development of tourism in the city.
