The delegation of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, led by the Deputy Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade Alibek Kamalov, took part in the Second Forum of Regional Leaders of the SCO Member States, in Chelyabinsk (Russia).

A panel session was held on the “Regional cooperation in agriculture on the example of the regions of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Member States”.

At the plenary session, which was devoted to the mechanisms for implementing the Program for the Development of Interregional Cooperation, a video message from the SCO Secretary-General Vladimir Norov was heard.

The forum was attended by representatives of more than 30 regions from 8 countries. The heads of the regions of Russia, China, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, India and Pakistan made their proposals to strengthen interaction.

As part of the Forum, a Russian – Uzbekistan Business Council was held in the Government of Chelyabinsk region.
