On February 26, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the progress of the execution of instructions given at an expanded meeting of the Security Council under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

A report was heard from the Minister of Defense on the progress of fulfilling the assigned tasks and the work being carried out to increase further the combat readiness and combat effectiveness of the troops, equip them with modern weapons and military equipment, improve the activities of the sergeant corps of the Armed Forces and the patriotic education of youth.

In particular, in a short time, work was carried out to improve regulations regarding increasing the combat readiness of troops, training military personnel, and strengthening military discipline in units and subunits.

Particular attention was paid to measures to digitalize the activities of troops. The ongoing work on the gradual introduction of modern automated command and control systems and improving the communications system was emphasized.

The importance of continuing work to improve the structure of the Armed Forces, equipping the national army with modern weapons and military equipment, and developing the defense-industrial complex was noted.

Based on the report’s results, the Head of state gave several instructions to improve the Armed Forces’ activities and increase the country’s defense capability.
