The two-day work of the prestigious international conference “Islam – the religion of peace and kindness”, organized on the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan, which was held in Tashkent and Khiva, has ended.
The speakers emphasized that Uzbekistan, as the birthplace of the greatest scientists, holds a significant scientific heritage. They noted the importance of studying this heritage, which includes invaluable works that reveal the true humanistic essence of Islam and provide calls that remain relevant today, particularly in the context of preserving peace and security – one of the greatest blessings of humanity.
At the conference, it was noted that the current problems of our time include the growth of Islamophobia, ongoing conflicts between states, and negative manifestations of globalization. To prevent these, it is important to deeply study the teachings of Islam and promote this knowledge among young people.
After presenting the reports, the participants proposed several noble initiatives within the framework of the discussed topic and addressed the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The final declaration of the international conference “Islam – the religion of peace and kindness” was also adopted.
The event participants visited the Ichan Kala complex in Khiva and examined several shrines in the city.
The stories about Khiva and its significant contribution to the development of Islam, science, and art made a memorable impression on the guests.
