In accordance with the program of the visit, the delegation led by the Chairman of DOSAAF of the Russian Federation, Colonel-General Alexander Kolmakov, visited the Central Council of DAO Vatanparvar, and met with its Chairman, Major General Rustam Niyazov. Negotiations were held on promising areas for further cooperation between the two organizations.

Cooperation Agreement was signed between DAO Vatanparvar and DOSAAF of the Russian Federation, providing for development of relations in several priority areas. In particular, the parties intend to exchange experience in military-patriotic education of young people, to study and introduce modern methods of training athletes.

According to Alexander Kolmakov, new joint programs and projects will be developed within the framework of the agreement, activity will be conducted to popularize all types of aviation sports.

Following the meeting, DAO Vatanparvar submitted application on joining the DOSAAF CIS International Union. The application of the organization will be considered at the next meeting of the Union, in December this year. Currently, its active members are Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan.
