Deputy Hokim of Tashkent for Architecture, Capital Construction and Development of Communications Bakhtiyor Rakhmanov met with a delegation of the South Korean company Daewoo Construction Group led by Chairman of the Board of Directors, Jung Won-ju, the Press Service of Tashkent City Hokimiyat reports.
Warmly welcoming the guests, Bakhtiyor Rakhmanov noted that today the South Korean companies BOMI Engineering & Construction Co. Ltd. and Evergreen Motors Group are building large business centers in Tashkent City and Seoul Street. Several other Korean companies are operating in many areas.
Mr. Rakhmanov expressed satisfaction with the interest of Daewoo Construction Group in cooperation with the capital and presented one of the major projects planned for implementation in Tashkent.
The project involves the construction of residential buildings, large shopping complexes, industrial and social facilities in Yangikhayot and Bektemir districts of the capital.
Mr. Jung Won-ju thanked for the cordial and sincere welcome, noting the changes and renovations taking place in Tashkent, the hospitality of Uzbekistan people, and mentioned the closeness of the cultures of our peoples.
Speaking about the large Smart City projects implemented by the company in the United States, Vietnam and the Philippines, Mr. Jung Won-ju expressed interest in implementing the same large-scale project upon reaching an agreement with Tashkent. The guest also announced the readiness of other Korean companies to invest in the Uzbekistan market.
The parties announced the continuation of practical dialogue and mutually beneficial cooperation.
