The Jizzakh Cyber Arena was put into operation in Jizzakh on the eve of the New Year.
The event held in this regard was attended by the heads of the Ministry of Youth Policy and Sports, hokims of Jizzakh region, cities and districts, heads of sectors, deputy hokims of the region, veterans, students, athletes, and cybersportsmen.
Hokim of Jizzakh region Ergash Saliyev, the Minister of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sherzod Shermatov, the head of the E-Sports Association Doniyor Jurayev, the First Deputy Minister of Youth Policy and Sports Alisher Sadullayev noted that this building was built to implement the resolution of the President of Uzbekistan “On additional measures for further development and widespread popularization of e-sports” of November 16, 2022. It will help to discover new talents and organize meaningful leisure time for young people.
First Deputy Minister of Youth Policy and Sports Alisher Sadullayev, as a New Year’s gift from the ministry, presented a certificate for 1 billion 350 million UZS for further development of e-sports in the region.
At the solemn event, the Regional Hokim Ergash Saliyev and the First Deputy Minister of Youth Policy and Sports Alisher Sadullayev presented cash prizes from the Hokimiyat to 110 Jizzakh athletes who participated in the Olympics, Paralympics, world championships, major international competitions, the championship of Uzbekistan, who achieved significant results, as well as active youth.
The final stage of the tournament “Cup of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan” took place at the Jizzakh Cyber Arena. The organizers rewarded the winners of the competition.
