Bukhara hosted an international scientific-practical conference “Current problems of cardiac surgery and angiography”.

The first day of the conference was attended by officials of the Ministry of Health, highly qualified cardiac surgeons, angiosurgeons and interventional cardiologists, specialists and researchers from leading domestic and foreign clinics.

The second day of the conference included practical and theoretical knowledge and skills. 18 different cardiac surgeries and X-ray endovascular interventions were performed in the operating block of Bukhara branch of the Republican Scientific Center for Emergency Medical Care, which became a kind of master class for young specialists. 

On the final day of the conference, which served as a practical platform for the mutual exchange of experience between local specialists and a narrow circle of doctors, the development of international best practices and techniques, a repeated examination of more than a hundred patients with various heart diseases was conducted in the regional branch of the Republican Scientific Center for Emergency Medical Care, and appropriate medical procedures were prescribed.

Recommendations based on the results of examinations and medical examinations, such as electrocardiography and echocardiography, radiography, daily monitoring of the Holter ECG, bicycle ergometry, were developed. After these in-depth studies, 16 patients were referred for surgery.
