Andijan State Medical Institute hosted an international scientific and practical conference on “Current issues in surgery and combustiology”, organized by the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, and the A.V. Vishnevsky National Medical Research Center of Surgery.

The conference brought together officials from the Ministry of Health, specialists from scientific centers within the healthcare system, professors and lecturers from Uzbekistan’s medical universities, as well as foreign scientists, young doctors, and talented students.

The conference was opened by Madaminjon Madazimov, Rector of Andijan State Medical Institute. Participants were greeted online by Asilbek Khudoyarov, Minister of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Kungirotboy Sharipov, Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, and Amiran Revishvili, Director of the A.V. Vishnevsky National Medical Research Center of Surgery.

The participants discussed a wide range of topics, including combustiological issues in Uzbekistan and Russia, surgical rehabilitation of burn patients, cicatricial tracheal stenosis, and the lymphological aspects of prevention and treatment, among others.

On the second day of the conference, foreign specialists conducted masterclasses for participants.
