On December 2-5, 2024, Istanbul and TURKSOY will widely celebrate the 200th anniversary of the outstanding Karakalpak poet and thinker Ajiniyaz Qosıbay uli’s birth.

As part of the event, officials of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan B.Usmonov and H.Dehqonov, a responsible employee of TURKSOY D.Khudoyberdiyeva, Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan R.Zarikeyev, Minister of Culture of the Republic of Karakalpakstan B.Temirbayev met with Istanbul Provincial Culture and Tourism Director Dr Coşkun Yılmaz.

At the meeting, the Uzbekistan delegation members discussed the prospects for strengthening cultural and tourism ties between the two countries and opportunities for developing mutually beneficial cooperation.
