Cultural Heritage Week kicks off

At the initiative of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the World Society for the Study, Preservation and Popularization of the Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan, and several ministries and agencies, the Cultural Heritage Week “Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan – the Basis of the New Renaissance” and the International Partnership Initiatives Week “New Uzbekistan: Development, Innovation and Enlightenment” will be held on July 3-7.

Hundreds of guests from 60 countries are expected to participate in the events. During the week, the capital’s museums will host exhibitions of the cultural heritage of the Temurids, masterpieces of folk arts and crafts, and paintings stored in Uzbekistan. Conferences, roundtable discussions, meetings, and presentations will be organized.

Representatives of relevant ministries and agencies, international organizations, cultural and art figures, journalists, and bloggers participated in the event dedicated to the start of the Cultural Heritage Week and the opening of the Event Hall building on the territory of the Uzbekfilm State Unitary Enterprise. A video was shown about the large-scale reforms and transformations being implemented in the country. It was noted that in recent years, special attention has been paid to developing culture and art.
