Cultural heritage sites are ready to receive tourists
The Department of Cultural Heritage under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Bukhara Regional Department of Cultural Heritage and the regional hokimiyat are carrying out the reconstruction of the ancient settlement of Gijduvon Kurgoni.
The Tourism mahalla is being created at Kurgon and Chorsu mahallas.
“We have completed the restoration of the 19th century Bozori Qaymoq, Boloyi Kassobon and Boborahimboy mosques, as well as the 16th century Eski Tosh Hamom”, says Aziz Juraev, an employee of the regional department of cultural heritage. – They are ready to receive local and foreign tourists.
On the square near the Bozori Qaymoq mosque, two terraces in the national architectural style were built to create favorable conditions for visitors. The work on preparation for the use of the Eski Tosh Hamom facility, located in Kurgon mahalla of Gijduvan district, has been completed. The bathhouse is now functioning again.
