There are 104 museums and their branches in the system of the Cultural Heritage Agency under the Ministry of Tourism and Sports. 37 of them are main museums, and 67 are branches. 7 museums are museum reserves, 12 are house museums.
Director of the Cultural Heritage Agency Shakhriyor Nurulloyev, visited the Mukhtar Ashrafi House Museum in Tashkent to get acquainted with the material and technical base of the museum, assess the safety exhibits, taking into account domestic and foreign experience, as well as the quality of service for visitors.
It should be noted that the house museum is located in the house where the composer lived and worked from 1965 to 1975. His “Love Amulet”, “Temur Malik” were created here. The museum collection also includes the personal archive of Mukhtar Ashrafi. There is also a collection of valuable manuscripts, photographs, documents, programs of performances, books, music publications, gramophone records, Uzbek musical instruments.
Shakhriyor Nurulloyev gave recommendations to the Director of the house museum, Natalia Gunova, on the necessary work to create conditions for visiting museums by people with disabilities, the widespread use of audiovisual technologies and media opportunities.
