Cultural cooperation between Uzbekistan and China reaches a new level
14:06 / 2025-12-05

The Days of Chinese Culture are currently being held in Uzbekistan. As part of the program, a meeting took place between the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Ozodbek Nazarbekov, and the Vice Minister of Culture and Tourism of the People’s Republic of China, Lu Yingchuan.

Representatives of both countries’ delegations, as well as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Uzbekistan, participated in the meeting.

“The friendship and strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and China are rooted in history”, Ozodbek Nazarbekov noted. “Today, bilateral cooperation is reaching new heights in the cultural and humanitarian sphere. The fact that the Days of Chinese Culture have become a good tradition in Tashkent and Samarkand confirms this”.

The sides reviewed proposals for developing promising areas of cultural cooperation. In particular, detailed discussions were held on creating a cultural calendar for 2026, organizing a concert by the National Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan at a cultural heritage site, and strengthening ties in the theater.
