In September 2022, within the framework of the GIZ project “Supporting reforms and modernization of the vocational education system in Uzbekistan”, the components of the project “Creating professional standards, developing curricula and organizing a PR campaign for representatives in the textile industry” were launched. They are implemented by the international consulting company GOPA.
As part of the first component of the project – the development of professional standards, 6 professions of the textile industry were processed. In connection with this, the Institute for Labor Market Research organized a workshop on “The system of qualifications and the role of professional standards”.
Issues of strengthening the interaction of the sphere of vocational education with employers, as well as the involvement of employers in the process of development, training personnel in demand on the labor market were discussed at the workshop.

It should be noted that the project is being implemented in close cooperation with the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education, the Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations, the Uztuqimachiliksanoat and Uzcharmsanoat associations, industry councils for professional qualifications and competencies in the textile, clothing and leather industries, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Institute for Labor Market Research, the Institute for Pedagogical Innovation, and others.
