A Covid case has been detected in the Tokyo Paralympics village, just days before the Games are due to start.

According to the Organizing Committee, the first patients with coronavirus were identified among the Paralympics participants and the service personnel.

16 people had symptoms yesterday and were immediately quarantined for 14 days. One of them is a participant in the Paralympic Games, and the other 15 are employees of service structures.
