Cotton pickers glad about medical services
Good quality medical services are being provided for cotton pickers in Surkhondaryo Region, southern Uzbekistan. Specialists of the regional territorial branch of the Soghlom Avlod Uchun (for a healthy generation) international charity foundation are also taking an active part in this work.
Good quality medical services are being provided for cotton pickers in Surkhondaryo Region, southern Uzbekistan. Specialists of the regional territorial branch of the Soghlom Avlod Uchun (for a healthy generation) international charity foundation are also taking an active part in this work.On the initiative of the foundation’s regional territorial branch, extensive medical check-ups have been arranged for cotton pickers in Uzun District.
“These check-ups are important as they are directed towards strengthening women’s and girls’ reproductive health and further raising their medical culture. To date, more than a thousand cotton pickers have been given extensive medical check-ups,” says the chief of the Surkhondaryo Regional territorial branch of the Soghlom Avlod Uchun international charity foundation, Hulkar Egamberdiyeva.
In addition to cultural, commercial and some other services being provided in cotton fields, constant medical services for cotton pickers are further conveniences for them.
“I have gone through a medical check-up and have been given the necessary advice about further strengthening my health. This helps to increase productivity and is very important in terms of forming a healthy lifestyle in our family and bringing up our children to be well in every respect,” says Zamira Navruzova living in the Yangi Shahar neighbourhood in the district.
