13:51 / 2024-02-17

Participants of the 14th Meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals (CMS COP14), held in Samarkand, planted tree seedlings on the new COP14 Green Public Park territory.

4.5 hectares have been allocated for the public park on the “Yangijoy” mahalla territory in Samarkand district. More than 2.5 thousand tree seedlings will be planted here, a bicycle path will appear, and a chess corner and tea pavilion will be organized.

“In a public park, with the help of landscape design, the word “COP” will be displayed, which will remind of when and for what purpose this park was created”, said the Minister of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change Aziz Abdukhakimov. “Here, we will post information about the Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals, as well as about the meeting held in Samarkand. The park will go down in history as being created during the CMS COP14 meeting”.
