At Guliston’s state university, a coordinating council has been established for the purpose of stepping up cooperation among pre-school day care establishments, general education schools, secondary special, vocational training and higher educational institutions and training qualified specialists.

At the first gathering of the coordinating council, Gh.Mirzayev, the hokim (governor) of Sirdaryo region and chairman of the coordinating council, talked about the council’s tasks and goals.

“At the gathering of the coordinating council, our region’s hokim announced that 500 thousand soms would be given every month to 12 talented students of our university’s 6 faculties and 1m soms a month to knowledgeable teachers who made many achievements and whose articles were published in foreign media,” says R.Mahmudov, Guliston university’s deputy rector for enlightenment and educational work.

The coordinating council will also give prizes at the end of the year to educational establishments with the best results in their work.

Most importantly, the establishment of the coordinating council creates possibilities for Guliston university and all the other educational establishments in the region to cooperate and solve problems in the education system together.
