Cooperation with USAID enhances
15:20 / 2022-11-24

The Government of Uzbekistan and the U.S. Agency for International Development are implementing several projects to diversify the country’s economy, expand regional trade, and eliminate serious threats, including COVID-19.

Since 2010, 1,425 tons of food aid worth $4 million has been delivered to Uzbekistan. As a continuation of this noble work, 131 tons of food products worth $410 thousand were delivered. Mixtures of healthy vegetables and legumes will be provided to healthcare organizations, socially needy institutions and families.

USAID is running the 13th round of food aid in the country. This project will strengthen the system of protection of socially needy people.

The next aid will be directed to support TB patients, orphanages and institutions where elderly and disabled people live.
