The Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the UK Ravshan Usmanov met with the Vice-Chancellor/President of the University of Warwick, Professor Stuart Croft.

Professor Stuart Croft praised the large-scale reforms currently being implemented in Uzbekistan, including positive changes in higher education and the creation of many new educational institutions.

It was also noted that the University of Warwick is interested in further developing bilateral relations with the El-Yurt Umidi Foundation in engineering, information technology, business, economics and marketing, law, and international relations, including professional training in English for Uzbekistan students.

The parties agreed to develop a separate roadmap to determine in detail the parameters of cooperation between the University of Warwick and the higher education institutions of Uzbekistan.

At the meeting, issues of introducing the “double diploma” system, organizing short-term advanced training courses for students and teachers, considering the academic and scientific potential of the parties, were discussed.
