The Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the UK Ravshan Usmanov met with the Lord Mayor of the City of London Michael Mainelli.

Lord Mayor of the City of London highly appreciated the economic reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan in foreign trade, liberalization of tax and financial policies, support for entrepreneurship and modernization of the education system, and also supported the intention to develop cooperation and highly appreciated the placement of the next sovereign international bonds of the country with a total value of about 1. 5 billion dollars in global financial markets. 

Interest was noted in developing interregional cooperation between the UK and Uzbekistan. Following the meeting, agreements were reached on establishing cooperation between Tashkent and the City of London, intensifying the exchange of delegations, and organizing events dedicated to Uzbekistan’s investment, tourism, and cultural potential.
