Ambassador of Uzbekistan Ravshan Usmanov met with John Worne, the Chief Executive of the British Chartered Institute of Linguists (CIOL).

An interest was expressed in establishing cooperation with relevant educational institutions and organizations of Uzbekistan to include qualified linguists in the CIOL register, especially in art, science, industry, trade and commerce, as well as a willingness to provide means of recognizing qualified linguists and conduct webinars for translators.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to establish cooperation between the Bureau of Interpreters under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and CIOL.
