The Minister of Health Amrillo Inoyatov held talks with the President of the Korea Foundation for International Healthcare (KOFIH) Chang-yup Kim.
According to the Ministry, the parties discussed the issues of further strengthening and enhancing collaboration.
Together with the Republican Research Center of Virology and KOFIH, a pilot project was launched to detect human papillomaviruses and cervical cancer in women living in Tashkent, Samarkand and Andijan regions.
At the National Children’s Medical Center in Tashkent, on behalf of the President, innovations have been introduced to increase the potential and qualifications of personnel in management, further improving children's health. This is also the result of bilateral cooperation.
At the meeting, an agreement was reached on the implementation of the second stage of the project “Improving the capacity of pre-hospital emergency medical care”, continue training qualified personnel, and improving the diagnosis of diseases of human papillomaviruses and cervical cancer among women.
