Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Japan Mukhsinkhuja Abdurakhmonov held talks with the President of the Japan International Research Center for Agricultural Sciences (JIRCAS) Koyama Osamu.

The parties discussed current areas of cooperation, in particular, the prospects for establishing interaction with scientific research institutes of Uzbekistan on the exchange of information and experience, preparation and publication of joint articles, scientific personnel through internships, trainings, workshops, days of joint farmers, as well as the organization of international symposia. 

The main attention was also paid to the introduction of resource-saving and water-saving agricultural technologies, the fight against salinization and soil degradation, the preservation and improvement of soil fertility, artificial intelligence and other modern technologies.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached on the establishment of cooperation between JIRCAS and interested organizations of the country.
