The Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Ibrokhim Abdurakhmonov received Huawei CEO in Uzbekistan Chen Jiakai.

Minister Ibrokhim Abdurakhmanov noted the need for the development and widespread use of the online education system and expressed his opinion on using the company’s capabilities in this field. He put forward proposals to create conditions for the effective leisure of students by organizing summer schools, as well as developing a platform based on artificial intelligence for students with hearing and speech impairments. The issue of youth internship at Huawei within the framework of the dual education system was also considered.

The guests noted the high demand for programmers who speak foreign languages in foreign IT companies, stressed the importance of organizing training in this direction as well.

Preliminary agreements were reached on the creation of digitalization programs and artificial intelligence technologies in innovative regions, technoparks, accelerators and other innovation infrastructure facilities under the jurisdiction of the Ministry in each region of the country.
