Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjayev chaired a meeting to discuss the current state and further multifaceted cooperation with China.
The meeting was attended by heads of ministries and agencies, industry associations, commercial banks, the Embassy of Uzbekistan in China.

Issues related to the conclusion of new promising agreements and contracts, the implementation of joint mutually beneficial projects and the attraction of grant support from Chinese partners were discussed.
The prospects for trade, economic, industrial and interregional cooperation, interaction in transport, energy, pharmaceuticals, chemistry and petrochemistry, automotive industry, metallurgy, as well as in sericulture, cotton growing, agriculture and water management, healthcare, science, education and culture, production of textile products, leather products, building materials and other areas were considered.

The participants discussed preparations for the meeting of Uzbekistan – China Intergovernmental Committee on Cooperation, which is scheduled to be held in August.
Following the meeting, the responsible heads of ministries, agencies and organizations were given additional instructions within the framework of the issues discussed.
