The Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting with the participation of representatives of diplomatic missions and international organizations.

The Minister of Culture and Tourism, Ozodbek Nazarbekov, informed about the events planned for this year, particularly the 25th session of the General Assembly of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), important international forums on tourism education, and the creation of a Smart Center in tourism.

The participants discussed cooperation issues in culture, art, cinema, and tourism.

Attention was paid to promoting the next session of the General Assembly and the process of preparing for it in the leading media of foreign countries, holding an investment forum in tourism and other events, and determining the timing of the revival of the Silk Road brand to develop the UNWTO.

The nomination of the Republic of Uzbekistan for membership in the UNWTO Executive Council for 2023-2027 was announced.

Following the meeting, Mr. Nazarbekov assured that the event in Samarkand would be organized at the highest level.
