The Representative Office of the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in China hosted a meeting with a delegation of the GD Power Co. Ltd. led by General Manager and Director Yan Bing Jia to discuss the prospects for cooperation in the renewable energy sources.

GD Power Co. Ltd. is part of China Energy Corporation, China’s largest energy and mining company. It is one of the 100 largest enterprises in the world. Engaged in the production and distribution of electricity in China, as well as the implementation of projects for the production of electricity from renewable – solar and wind energy sources.

The company is currently participating in a tender for a 1 GW Guzar-Solar solar photovoltaic PPP project, implemented as part of the solar energy development program in the country.

The Chinese part got acquainted with the presentation of the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan on the main directions for the implementation of projects through renewable energy sources.

The Uzbek side informed the representatives of GD Power that the country has all the initial components for the production of solar panels and equipment for wind farms, and is also ready to consider proposals for the start of localization of production.

The Chinese company, in turn, expressed its readiness to consider the issue.
