Hokim of Bukhara region’s Karakul district Khurshid Tohirov visited Türkiye and met with the Mayor of Sakarya Yusuf Alemdar.

Prospects for cooperation in trade-economic, cultural, and social spheres were discussed at the meeting. An initiative was put forward to establish twinning relations between the regions.  It was also announced about the planned visit of representatives of Turkish business to Karakul district in October this year.

At the meeting, Yusuf Alemdar focused on his personal historical connection with Bukhara. He stressed that his grandfather came from this region, which determines his special attitude to this city.

During the visit, the Hokim of Karakul district got acquainted with the activities of several industrial enterprises and held discussions on investment opportunities.
