The Minister of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sherzod Kudbiyev met with the UNDP delegation led by the Director of the Regional Bureau for Europe and CIS, Ivana Živković.

At the meeting, attention was paid to issues related to achieving Sustainable Development Goals, poverty reduction, social security, and environmental protection, as well as rural development and the importance of active participation of citizens in the Participatory Budgeting project.

The directions for further cooperation and issues of assistance to the government in the reforms carried out by UNDP in Uzbekistan were discussed at the meeting.

The parties agreed to develop cooperation and expand projects in the areas that were touched upon during the discussion.
