This topic was discussed at an online conference organized by the Academy of the Prosecutor General’s Office together with the Republican Interdepartmental Commission for Combating Corruption and UNDP to implement paragraph eight of the UNDP Project Action Plan “Preventing corruption through effective, accountable and transparent governance institutions in Uzbekistan” for 2020.

The event was attended by leading international experts of national representative offices of Transparency International in Kazakhstan, Slovenia, Russia, and Latvia, representatives of the Ministry of Justice, the National Association of Non-Governmental Non-Profit Organizations of Uzbekistan, the Development Strategy Center, Yuksalish Nationwide Movement and NGOs.

Participants discussed the importance of public control and the legal basis for cooperation between state and non-governmental organizations in the fight against corruption, the effective use of information on identification and eradication of corruption in certain areas, conduction of anti-corruption examination of draft normative acts.
