The Ambassador of Uzbekistan, Ravshan Usmanov, met with Manzar Qureshi, the Trustee of the British non-profit organization The Wisdom Trust.

The structure began operating in 2003 as a non-profit organization called Wisdom4All. Since 2005, it has been transformed into The Wisdom Trust, whose main principles are the well-being of children and young people, education for all, and a safe, happy, and sustainable society. The organization’s budget is formed from donations. Most of the funds match the UK contribution. The organization also includes more than 500 small charities as members.

The parties exchanged views on several projects planned to be implemented in Surkhandarya region of Uzbekistan.

The Trustee of the British organization noted that there are ample opportunities and potential in Uzbekistan for creating branches of colleges and institutes in information technology and sending young specialists to the UK for training, employment, and advanced training.
